Today it is one of the jewels in the crown of French equestrian heritage.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Pin National Stud Farm is now launching a call for proposals from economic stakeholders as part of their MAJOR PROJECT for cultural, economic and tourism development of the site. GUELPA.<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"covid19-news-for-the-equine-sector-in-normandy\"><strong>COVID-19 NEWS FOR THE EQUINE SECTOR IN NORMANDY<\/strong>:<\/h3>\n\n\n<p>ThIn 2020, the French economy fell into a huge recession, with its GDP falling by around 8%. The equine sector, like many other sectors of the national economy, was very badly affected by the covid crisis. The pandemic forced people to change their social behaviour (social distancing, lockdowns, curfews). The government asked the IFCE (French Equine and Equestrian Institute) to coordinate an analysis of the effects of the ongoing pandemic on the equine sector. The Sector Committee that represents the great diversity of this sector produced a summary and a progress report.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"arrow-btn-link-container\">\n    <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ifce.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Rapport-d%C3%A9tape-Covid19-fili%C3%A8re-%C3%A9quine-01-04-2021.pdf \" target=\"_blank\" class=\"bordered-btn is-green\">\n        More information        <span class=\"general-arrow\"><\/span>\n    <\/a>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"rhinopneumonitis\"><strong>RHINOPNEUMONITIS:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p>The Myeloencephalitis \u2013 EHV1 (rhinopneumonitis) epidemic has been subject to careful monitoring since the beginning of the health crisis, in partnership with the Equine Pathology Epidemiology Surveillance Network (R\u00e9seau d\u2019Epid\u00e9mio-Surveillance en Pathologies Equines &#8211; RESPE).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Given that the has developed in a positive direction, the FFE and the SHF have jointly decided to confirm the restart of all national and international equestrian competitions, equine meetings and training courses they are organising or that take place under their auspices, from Monday 12 April 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to maintain a high level of vigilance, a health protocol will be applied to all involved in the competition and this will be set out as soon as the rules decided upon by the international federation are released. This featured an interview with Pascal Froti\u00e9e, manager of the only stables using an active stabling system in Normandy, Les Ecuries de Lisors. The report presents the active stabling system under which horses are able to live in semi-freedom and the benefits horses gain from living outside of their stalls. Subsequently there is an appearance from Claire Neveux, the founder of Ethonova and horse welfare research engineer, who talks about \u201cWhat will the equine sector look like in the future?\u201d alongside &nbsp;Laurence Meunier, chair of P\u00f4le Hippolia and the Normandy Horse Council. With conditions around the current pandemic making it impossible to hold the event at the equine hub in Saint-L\u00f4, the Normandy Horse Council decided to ensure that the event could take place in February 2021. In partnership with and thanks to support from trotting professionals, we launched the event as a unique, 100% digital experience!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Simplicity and effectiveness were the key values behind the creation of this digital trade fair. A specially designed website was provided, meaning that the stud farmers and stallholders were only a few clicks away, allowing visitors to look at the catalogue of more than 100 stallions and take part in the draw for insemination.<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"normandie-destination-cheval-the-new-2021-guide-is-online\"><strong><strong>NORMANDIE DESTINATION CHEVAL, THE NEW 2021 GUIDE IS ONLINE:<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p>The Normandy Horse Council along with our partners are delighted to announce the publication of the 2021 edition of the Normandie Destination Cheval guide!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This guide was developed to showcase equine heritage in Normandy to the general public and it presents equestrian activities and activities connected with horses in order to open the equine sector to everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, the publication features a number of new destinations. This network facilitates the various procedures by pooling the skills and services of \u00e9qui-projets partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, a new strand has been added to complete this initiative: \u201cSaddle up for business creation\u201d. With this in mind, the EquuRES label provides the equine sector with a tool to monitor environmental standards and animal welfare in order to help organisations and companies to make any necessary changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The EquuRES label is the only national initiative for environmental quality and equine welfare that has been specifically developed for organisations and businesses in the equine sector.
