Claiming races
During claiming races, competing horses are for sale at a minimum price, which is indicated on the day’s programe. After the race, you can hand in a secret slip on which is written the price you would like to buy the horse for and the highest offer is retained. The owner of the horse can also hand in a slip should they decide they want to keep the horse. A great number of claiming races are organised each month at the many racecourses across Normandy
